Boundary Solutions, Inc.
Mill Valley, CA (November 26, 2002): National ParcelMap Data Portal (NPDP), announced HAZARDCHECK a free ArcView extension. HAZARDCHECK is used with NPDPs digital parcel map database content provided by ActionMap Solutions (AMS) (www.actionmap.net).
HAZARDCHECK produces a natural hazard disclosure report with corresponding screen shot (click to view) for additional support. And, it does all this in just seconds. Because the software uses parcel maps for location, NPDP completely eliminates over and under reporting. When you use NPDP, whatever is located at an address is inside the parcel baoundary. Thats what we call Rooftop Accuracy
NPDP eliminates under and over reporting by using the actual extants of the parcel boundary instead of lat/long address points to identify address locations. Conventional address points are limited to being estimations of a parcel centroid, often not even within the parcel boundary.
HAZARDCHECK comes with a wizard to expedite its ability to address any hazard overlay including faults, fire, wind, subsidence, wetlands, contaminated sites, seismic and others polygon overlays. It can be expanded to report simultaneously on a combination of layers. Current digital parcel map data to use with HAZARDCHECK is available on the NPDP download portal for over 200 counties/jurisdictions with over 30 million parcels.

###
ActionMap Solutions has assembled the most extensive database of parcel map data available from 100s of jurisdictions throughout the United States. Terms and conditions for its acquisition, use and updates are in place for over 85% of the nations major metros. All content is normalized, regardless of source format, to a single "national" spatial configuration so that an application that works in Orlando also works in Seattle. ActionMap has filed with the US Office of Trademarks And Patents a provisional business practice application for patent protection that includes the establishment of an Online national parcel map data server that enables its users to operate parcel GIS data models as well as an Application Programming Interface composed of tools for expediting GIS application development.
