Mill Valley, CA: Boundary Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of an optional National Parcel Map Updating Option: The Change Layer. In addition to NPDP subscribers opting to receiving updates on a regular or as–needed basis, instead of downloading a 50 to 500 MB file to overwrite the old version, a 1 to 20 MB file is provided containing just the parcels that changed since the last update.
The advantages to insurance, natural hazard and flood disclosure, real estate information services and engineers and planners are:
- Smaller file sizes.
- No checking for updates. BSI emails them to you as email attachment as ready.
- Over time you compile a valuable archive of past conditions supporting for the first time top check the past to see conditions of past ownerships and parcel configurations.
NPDP Change Layer Subscribers also are provided NPDPCHANGELAYER, software that expedites merging their current parcel layer theme with the Change-Layer theme to produce the latest parcel update, including dropping out “joined” parcels.
