Mill Valley, CA: Of the nearly 40 million parcels on the National ParcelMap Data Portal ftp download site, 27 million now include standardized extended property attributes. Coverage of this powerful GIS parcel boundary feature includes areas in which 50% of all real estate transactions take place. There are seamless coverages available for 35 major metropolitan regions.

The 43 standard attributes (situs, valuation, use, physical, sales) are available for use as extended attributes joined to the parcel boundaries that make up the National ParcelMap Data Portal (NPDP). Download purchase price shall apply to online use of the same data as it becomes available on the NPDP GeoServer. The standardization of the attribute data, a must for GeoServer deployment of digital parcel data, is now available for building insurance, banking, land development, appraisal, utilities and emergency response applications.

Boundary Solutions Inc. assembled the most extensive database of parcel map data available from jurisdictions throughout the United States. A total of 38 million parcels are ready for download, of which 26 million are being loaded onto the NPDP GeoServer for address-specific online parcel map deployment. Terms and conditions for its acquisition, use and updates are in place for 90% of the nation's major metros; 72 million parcels. All content is normalized, regardless of source format, to a single national spatial configuration so that an application that works in Seattle also works in St. Pete. In September 2003, the US Patent Office published BSI’s U.S. Patent Application #20030140064 for a National Online ParcelMap Data Portal (NPDP). This patent includes the establishment of an online national parcel map data server that enables its users to operate parcel GIS data models as well as an API that helps simplify using the data and creating applications.
