Boundary Solutions, Inc.
Mill Valley, CA: Boundary Solutions, Inc. completed delivery of its TOTAL NPDP to R7 Solutions, a Houston based company providing web-based GIS solutions to the energy, transportation, government and real estate sectors. TOTAL NPDP includes the National ParcelMap Data Portal's entire Q2 2006 inventory consisting of 35 million parcels from 280 jurisdictions. Each countywide dataset is normalized to the same data structure, projection, naming, annotation, metadata and archrival protocols to expedite application development
R7 Solutions, Inc. provides unique expertise in the areas of geographic information systems, wireless and mobile computing, enterprise integration, e-collaboration and document management. R7 provides software and implementation consulting to deploy complete enterprise GIS, mobile computing and document management systems. R7's flagship product is GeoRoom. It is a web-based GIS that incorporates data from multiple sources to streamline quick assembly and interfacing of disparate GIS map layers, non-spatial databases, documents, workflow management and analytical tools. Framework solutions supported by GeoRoom include:
- Pipeline and Corridor Systems.
- Expert Real Estate Information Systems
- Energy Exploration and Production
TOTAL NPDP is being incorporated into R7's GeoRoom hosted service to vastly improve its effectiveness. More important than improving spatial accuracy, R7 will be leveraging the parcel boundary's singular ability to communicate the extents, not just the location, of a property. TOTAL NPDP coverage addresses over 55% of the nation's economic activity. By Q3 2006, TOTAL NPDP is scheduled to grow to 48 million parcels in 400 jurisdictions, coverage for about 74% of the economic activity.
###
Boundary Solutions Inc. assembled the most extensive database of parcel map data available from jurisdictions throughout the United States. As of July 2006, a total of 42 million parcels from 310 jurisdictions are normalized and ready for download. Terms and conditions for digital parcel map database acquisition and updates are in place for 400 more jurisdictions, a total of 82 million parcels representing coverage for up to 95% of the nation's land transaction activity. Regardless of source format, all content is subjected to over 20 modification steps to assure universal internal consistency so that an application that works in Seattle also works in St. Pete. In September 2003, the US Patent Office published BSI's U.S. Patent Application #20030140064 for a National Online ParcelMap Data Portal (NPDP). This patent application, with allowed claims, includes specifications for a multi-jurisdiction online national parcel map data server and API that enables users to operate parcel GIS data models including mission specific applications. Boundary Solutions, BSI, Boundary Solutions logo, National ParcelMap Data Portal, NPDP, and Rooftop Accuracy are trademarks of BSI.
