NPDP Coverage Map included in
FGDC Cadastral Subcommittee's Proceedings

Mill Valley, CA: Boundary Solutions, Inc. (BSI) has been tracking its progress in building a seamless National ParcelMap Database (NPDP) since 1998 through the use of county coverage maps. A snapshot of our progress as of March 2009 is represented in BSI's NPDP coverage map included as part of the final proceedings of the Federal Geographic Data Committee, Cadastral Subcommittee's May 7 Meeting at the AIA HQ, Washington DC. This map specifically appears as slide 103 in a presentation entitled May 7 Mortgage Meeting Morning Presentations, Mortgage Study dated (5/7/2009), presented by Dr. David J. Cowen of the NCAD Mortgage Response Work Group and Chair of the NRC Committee on Land Parcel Databases: A National Vision. (click here for image). Many more counties have been added to the NPDP since March 2009

BSI is the custodian of the National Parcel Map Data Portal (NPDP™). As of June 2009, a total of 76 million parcel boundary polygons from 680 jurisdictions are normalized and ready for download. Regardless of source format, all content is subjected to over 30 software driven modifications and metric recordings to assure universal internal consistency highly convenient geoserver loading. NPDP content is available as downloads from the NPDP FTP Site or on a transaction basis using ISC ParcelAtlas, r7 GeoRoom, Placebase Pushpin or ESRI ArcWebServices geoserver platforms. The USPTO awarded Boundary Solutions Inc. Patents 7,092,957 & 7,499,946, and 7,516,156 entitled “Computerized National Online Parcel-level Map Data Portal.” Claims include multi-state search to locate an address by displaying its corresponding digital parcel map boundary and the processing of change layer updates for the NPDP. The original provisional patent application was filed January 18, 2002.
