Geosemble, Boundary Solutions Team to Transform
Aerial Imagery into Seamless Portals to the News

Mill Valley, CA: Geosemble Technologies Inc. of El Segundo, CA selected Boundary Solutions Inc. (BSI) as their national parcel layer content service provider to support their new product, GeoXray®, the latest in integrating text information with ortho-imagery. Funded by the Defense Advanced Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), GeoXray dynamically links a wide range of press releases, blogs and tweets and other news items to geographic locations.

The 76 million parcel boundaries in BSI’s National ParcelMap Data Portal work behind the scenes to ensure street addresses are accurately assigned to each individual GeoXray feature point, including buildings, facilities, infrastructure and vacant lots. Embedded situs, characteristic and owner information enables NPDP to invisibly transform any ordinary, static aerial image into a dynamic feature rich “moving-picture” that automatically updates events, news and activity occuring in a specific geographic area of interest. Further, in compliance with BSI’s data standards, almost all NPDP content is less than 12 months old.

GeoXray can be integrated with existing systems such as Google Maps, Google Earth, Microsoft Bing, Yahoo Maps and ArcGIS Explorer. GeoXray can be run as a service or delivered to work securely behind government and corporate firewalls.

BSI is the custodian of the National Parcel Map Data Portal (NPDP™). As of July 2009, a total of 76 million parcel boundary polygons from 680 jurisdictions are normalized and ready for download. Regardless of source format, all content is subjected to over 30 software driven modifications and metric recordings to assure universal internal consistency highly convenient geoserver loading. NPDP content is available as downloads from the NPDP FTP Site or on a transaction basis using ISC ParcelAtlas, r7 GeoRoom or ESRI ArcWebServices geoserver platforms. The USPTO awarded Boundary Solutions Inc. Patents 7,092,957 & 7,499,946, and 7,516,156 entitled “Computerized National Online Parcel-level Map Data Portal.” Claims include multi-state search to locate an address by displaying its corresponding digital parcel map boundary and the processing of change layer updates for the NPDP. The original provisional patent application was filed January 18, 2002.
